This article by Vartika Mam is amazing. Enduring loneliness is indeed very hard. It would be hard for the readers to even imagine what prisoners such as JP had to undergo when they were kept under house arrest. As mentioned in the article there are many prisoners who are forced to remain lonely in their cells. Prisons are places that are meant not just to punish but also to reform the inmates. Keeping them in isolation, making them lonely only makes their life harder and does not help in reforming them. I hope the authorities take notice of this article and realise the point raised by her. #vartikananda #humanrights #prisonreforms

Tinka Tinka have always managed to give light on the facts and events that are either forgotten from history or go unnoticed and unrecognized. Taking lessons from the past and using it for reforms of the present and future has been an exceptional trait of the movement. Their work has been inspirational and noteworthy for all of us. #tinkatinka #vartikananda #prisonreforms #humanrights

Everyone who has questioned the initiative of making stationary available to prison inmates and making libraries that were accessible to all inmates by saying that it wouldn't be of any help. That writing experiences while in prison, promoting creativity in prisoners isn't of much use. Had such things not been available to eminent influentials in the past like Mahatma Gandhi, Bhagat Singh, JP Narayan, etc an important aspect of their freedom struggle would have perhaps been unrecorded and forgotten. #vartikananda #tinkatinka #jail #prison
