The first chapter aims to relate the Bible and Shakespeare to the refining of students’ linguistic sensibilities. With reference to the Press Council, press laws and press freedom are discussed in the context of the Indian media. Some of the chapters explore specific writing practices and common errors in the newspaper, radio and television industry. The book also cites numerous illustrations related to the Indian press. The book was originally published in 1983.
