The students of the Department of Journalism, Lady Shri Ram College for Women, annually elect their classmates as the President, General Secretary and Treasurer of the department. These three position-holders are collectively known as the Student’s Union.
It's commonly understood that college is more than classrooms and textbooks. It's a time for discovery – personally, socially and globally. The Student’s Union is responsible for organising and coordinating department activities, guest lectures, competitions, and seminars. They also help students in achieving their academic goals by making learning in college more inclusive and accessible. They safeguard the interests of the students, and represent them in the college.
The Department of Journalism has had a Student’s Union for many years. They have helped students in achieving their endeavours, and assisted the faculty in administrative work. The names of the various unions over the years are mentioned below -
