Professional Experience:

Worked with Zee TV, NDTV, Indian Institute of Mass Communication and Lok Sabha TV. Currently, teaching Journalism in Delhi University.

- Tinka Tinka Tihar : Rajkamal Prakashan : First ever collection of poems written by women inmates of India's most famous prison - Tihar. Editors: Vimla Mehra(IPS, DG, Prisons) & Vartika Nanda. Published in both English and Hindi : 2013. This book has been included in the Limca Book of Records, 2015.

Awards:

- 2014: The President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee conferred the Stree Shakti Puraskar, 2013 (Rani Gaidinliu Zeliang Award) on the occasion of International Women’s Day at Rashtrapati Bhavan on March 8, 2014. This award has been given in recognition of her contribution in creating awareness on women’s issues through media and literature. Instituted in 1991, these awards are given to six illustrious women every year for their distinguished services for the empowerment of women.

- 2014: Laadli Media and Advertising Award for Gender Sensitivity to the short public service film - Nanakpura Kuch Nahi Bhoolta. This film is centered on the issue of domestic violence and is based on the poetic journey, Thee. Hoon.. Rahungi…

- 2012: Dr Radhakrishnan Memorial National Media Award and the Rituraj Parmpara Samman

- 2013: Youth Icon of the Year Award given by the CM of Uttarakhand

- 2007: Bharatendu Harishchandra Award for the book Television aur Apraadh Patrkarita. This book was published by the Indian Institute of Mass Communication.

Another milestone: Ventured into creating a musical track along with Vimlaa Mehra. The musical CD Tinka Tinka Tihar was sung and produced by Tihar inmates.
