Moving tributes were paid to the distinguished journalist Raj Kumar Keswani, in a special programme organised on his 73rd birth anniversary to commemorate his impactful investigative journalism, especially on Bhopal gas tragedy, and exceptional writing. The inaugural Rajkumar Keswani Award was presented to Dr. Vartika Nanda for her extraordinary contribution to prison reforms. The award, which includes a cash prize of one lakh rupees, a citation, and a memento, acknowledges Nanda's persistent endeavours in fulfilling communication needs of prison inmates in India through Tinka Tinka Foundation. The ceremony took place at the Madhavrao Sapre Newspaper Museum in Bhopal, where prominent lyricist Irshad Kamil and film writer Rumi Jaffrey were in attendance. Theatre artist and actor Rajiv Verma presided over the programme. Reflecting on Keswani's immense contribution, Museum founder Dr. Vijay Dutt Sridhar noted that Keswani was perhaps the sole voice who repeatedly pointed out the dangers of the safety lapses in the Union Carbide Plant, long before the Bhopal gas tragedy actually struck in 1984. Keswani, an influential figure in both print and television media, succumbed to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021. His widely admired 'Aapas Ki Baat' column attested to his unique style of film writing, garnering huge readership.

2023: 26 नवंबर। मध्य प्रदेश की राजधानी भोपाल में रविवार, 26 नवंबर को विख्यात पत्रकार स्वर्गीय राजकुमार केसवानी की स्मृति में उनके नाम पर पहला सम्मान पत्रकार डॉ. वर्तिका नन्दा को दिया गया. माधवराव सप्रे समाचार-पत्र संग्रहालय में आयोजित इस समारोह में डॉ. नंदा को सम्मान स्वरूप एक लाख रुपये की राशि, शॉल-श्रीफल दिया गया.

कार्यक्रम में गीतकार और लेखक इरशाद कामिल, अभिनेता राजीव वर्मा और फिल्म राइटर रूमी जाफरी विशेष रूप से उपस्थित थे. इनके अलावा, पद्मश्री विजय दत्त श्रीधर, राजेश बादल, अशोक मनवानी सहित पत्रकारिता जगत की अन्य हस्तियां और स्वर्गीय केसवानी के बेटे रौनक केसवानी व अन्य परिजन कार्यक्रम में मोजूद रहे.

87 awardees from across the country are recognized for their gender-sensitive Media reports at the 13th Edition of Laadli Media & Advertising Awards for Gender Sensitivity 2023- Regionals. More than 850 entries were received in 13 languages from across the country. The Laadli Media Awards for Gender Sensitivity are one of its kind awards in the world, given exclusively for promoting gender sensitivity in the media. Tinka Tinka Prison Radio is honoured with the Laadli Media Award in Jaipur, Rajasthan in the Hindi category of Web Podcasts. This award has been given for episode 36 of Tinka Tinka Jail Radio Podcast titled Ambala Jail Radio and the women inmates. This was broadcast on March 31, 2022.

About the award-winning entry: This podcast is based on the women inmates lodged in Central Jail, Ambala. This is one of the historical jails in India. Tinka Tinka Foundation started prison radios in the state of Haryana in 2020. As a part of this initiative, in December 2020, 21 inmates were selected for a special training program by Dr. Vartika Nanda, Founder of Tinka Tinka Foundation.(TTF) They were mentored to become RJs in the newly established radio stations in the jail premises. More than 300 inmates, including women and transgender inmates, have been trained as RJs in the jails of Haryana. This special episode depicts the journey of women inmates lodged in Central Jail, Ambala and their association with the jail radio. These inmates were a part of the radio skill production training programme, included in the broad prison radio training project in the state of Haryana. The award-winning entry is a podcast, conceived and narrated by Vartika Nanda and audio edited by Harsh Vardhan. Vartika Nanda heads the Department of Journalism in Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi University. Harsh Vardhan is a young journalist working with a media house.

Impact: Tinka Tinka Jail Radio Podcasts are an exclusive audio series for jails across India. These podcasts are the only podcasts in India solely dedicated to prison reforms in the country and aim to bring about a positive change in prisons. With no financial support, these podcasts. which began in 2020, have been successful in highlighting original voices of inmates from different prisons of the country. Conceptualised, scripted and voiced by Dr. Vartika Nanda, these podcasts are freely available on Tinka Tinka Foundation’s YouTube channel: Tinka Tinka Prison Reforms. Tinka Tinka Jail Radio has contributed immensely towards improving physical and mental health of inmates, apart from providing them an additional skill, leading them to reformation through the jail radio.

Laadli Media Awards: These are an initiative of Population First, a Mumbai-based social impact organization, supported by UNITED Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) that has been working for the past two decades to promote gender sensitivity in media nationwide. The grand event was held with the support from Lok Samvad Sansthan-a Jaipur based Media Advocacy organization at the Rajasthan International Centre, Jaipur, on the 21st of October. Dr. Dev Swarup, Vice Chancellor, Baba Amte Divyang University, Rajasthan was the Chief Guest, while special guests included Ms Anuja Gulati ,Programme Management Specialist, United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). Dr. A.L. Sharada ,CEO of Population First and spearheads the media advocacy campaign for gender sensitivity - Laadli,said that during a yearlong advocacy intuitive - a total of 30 Jury meetings were conducted to identify the winners. Fifty-five eminent personalities from various walks of life, including academics, media, journalism, social activists, change makers, business strategists, authors, and more from across the country and some from overseas, made up the jury panels. A total of 87 journalists are being presented with the Laadli Media Advertising Award for Gender Sensitivity, while 31 will receive the Jury Appreciation Citations.

Prof Sanjeev Bhanawat, Former Head of Journalism and Mass Communication Centre of Rajasthan University and Priyanka Katariya- Anchor Doordarshan and AIR hosted the event.

लाडली मीडिया एंड एडवरटाइजिंग अवार्ड्स फॉर जेंडर सेंसिटिविटी 2023-क्षेत्रीय समारोह में देश भर से 87 पुरस्कार विजेताओं को उनकी लिंग-संवेदनशील मीडिया रिपोर्टों के लिए सम्मानित किया गया.
तिनका तिनका जेल रेडियो को पॉडकास्ट की वेब श्रेणी में पुरस्कार मिला. जेलों पर आधारित ये भारत के एकमात्र पॉडकास्ट हैं.
इन पॉडकास्ट की परिकल्पना और इन्हें आवाज तिनका तिनका फाउंडेशन की संस्थापक वर्तिका नंदा द्वारा दी जाती है.

तिनका तिनका पॉडकास्ट को राजस्थान की राजधानी जयपुर में आयोजित एक कार्यक्रम में लाडली मीडिया पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया गया. तिनका तिनका पॉडकास्ट सीरीज के 36वें एपिसोड- 'अंबाला जेल रेडियो और महिला बंदी' को वेब पॉडकास्ट की हिंदी श्रेणी में यह अवॉर्ड मिला है. इस अवॉर्ड को खुद तिनका तिनका की संस्थापक डॉ. वर्तिका नन्दा ने प्राप्त किया. यह अवॉर्ड शनिवार, 21 अक्टूबर 2022 को दिया गया.

यह पॉडकास्ट अंबाला की सेंट्रल जेल में बंद महिला कैदियों पर आधारित है. अंबाला सेंट्रल जेल भारत की ऐतिहासिक जेलों में से एक है. तिनका तिनका फाउंडेशन ने 2020 में हरियाणा राज्य में जेल रेडियो शुरू किया था. इस पहल के एक भाग के रूप में, दिसंबर 2020 में तिनका तिनका फाउंडेशन की संस्थापक डॉ. वर्तिका नंदा द्वारा एक विशेष प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम के लिए 21 कैदियों का चयन किया गया था. जेल परिसर में नव स्थापित रेडियो स्टेशनों में आरजे बनने के लिए डॉ. नन्दा ने बंदियों को ट्रेनिंग दी. हरियाणा की जेलों में महिलाओं और ट्रांसजेंडर कैदियों सहित 300 से अधिक कैदियों को आरजे (रेडियो जॉकी) के रूप में प्रशिक्षित किया गया है.

पॉडकास्ट सीरीज का 36वें एपिसोड के बारे में

यह विशेष एपिसोड सेंट्रल जेल, अंबाला में बंद महिला कैदियों की यात्रा और जेल रेडियो के साथ उनके जुड़ाव के बारे में बताता है. ये कैदी रेडियो कौशल उत्पादन प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम का हिस्सा थे, जो हरियाणा राज्य में व्यापक जेल रेडियो प्रशिक्षण परियोजना में शामिल था.

पॉडकास्ट सीरीज के अवॉर्ड जीतने वाले 36वें एपिसोड की परिकल्पना और इसे आवाज वर्तिका नन्दा द्वारा दी गई है. साथ ही इसका संपादन हर्ष वर्धन ने किया है. वर्तिका नन्दा दिल्ली विश्वविद्यालय के लेडी श्रीराम कॉलेज में पत्रकारिता विभाग की प्रमुख हैं. हर्ष वर्धन एक युवा पत्रकार हैं, जो एक मीडिया हाउस में काम करते हैं. यह पॉडकास्ट सीरीज यूट्यूब पर प्रसारित की जाती है.

जेलों पर इकलौते पॉडकास्ट हैं तिनका तिनका: तिनका तिनका पॉडकास्ट भारत भर की जेलों के लिए एक विशेष ऑडियो श्रृंखला है. ये पॉडकास्ट भारत में एकमात्र ऐसे पॉडकास्ट हैं, जो पूरी तरह से देश में जेल सुधारों के लिए समर्पित हैं. इसका उद्देश्य जेलों में सकारात्मक बदलाव लाना है. बिना किसी वित्तीय सहायता के 2020 में शुरू हुए ये पॉडकास्ट देश की विभिन्न जेलों के कैदियों की मूल आवाज को उजागर करने में सफल रहे हैं. इन पॉडकास्ट को यूट्यूब, स्पॉटीफाई, गूगल पॉडकास्ट और एप्पल पॉडकास्ट समेत अन्य कई प्लेटफॉर्म्स पर सुना जा सकता है. इन पॉडकास्ट की परिकल्पना, आलेख और आवाज तिनका तिनका फॉउंडेशन की संस्थापक डॉ. वर्तिका नन्दा की है. इस सीरीज के अधिकांश पॉडकास्ट हर्ष वर्धन ने संपादित किए हैं. गौरतलब है कि ये जो पॉडकास्ट हैं वो तिनका मॉडल ऑफ प्रिजन रिफॉर्म्स का एक विशेष हिस्सा हैं. अब तक कुल 73 एपिसोड ब्रॉडकास्ट किए जा चुके हैं. तिनका तिनका पॉडकास्ट की टैगलाइन है ‘जेलों में इंद्रधनुष बनाने की कोशिश.

‘पॉपुलेशन फर्स्ट’ और 'संयुक्त राष्ट्र जनसंख्या कोष' (यूएनएफपीए) द्वारा संयुक्त रूप से हर साल दिए जाने वाले इस अवॉर्ड का यह 13वां संस्करण है. वर्ष 2023 के लिए पूरे देश से 13 भाषाओं में 850 से अधिक प्रविष्टियों में से चुने विजेता चुने गए. इस आयोजन के मुख्य अतिथि थे- बाबा आमटे दिव्यांग विश्वविद्यालय के कुलपति डॉ. देव स्वरूप. विशिष्ट अतिथियों में डॉ. अर्चना शर्मा, अध्यक्ष राजस्थान राज्य समाज कल्याण बोर्ड, श्री इकराम राजस्थानी, अध्यक्ष पं. शामिल जवाहर लाल नेहरू बाल साहित्य अकादमी, राजस्थान और सुश्री अनुजा गुलाटी, कार्यक्रम प्रबंधन विशेषज्ञ, संयुक्त राष्ट्र जनसंख्या कोष (यूएनएफपीए) शामिल रहे. राजस्थान विश्वविद्यालय के पत्रकारिता एवं जनसंचार केंद्र के पूर्व प्रमुख प्रोफेसर संजीव भानावत और दूरदर्शन एवं आकाशवाणी की एंकर प्रियंका कटारिया ने इस कार्यक्रम की मेजबानी की.

इस साल कुल 87 पत्रकारों को लैंगिक संवेदनशीलता के लिए लाडली मीडिया एडवरटाइजिंग अवॉर्ड दिया गया, जबकि 31 को जूरी प्रशंसा प्रशस्ति पत्र मिले.

गौरतलब है कि 'लाडली मीडिया एंड एडवर्टाइजिंग अवॉर्ड फॉर जेंडर सेंसिटिव्हिटी' देश के उन मीडियाकर्मियों को दिया जाता है जो कि प्रिंट मीडिया, इलेक्ट्रॉनिक मीडिया, न्यूज पोर्टल, ब्लॉग, वेबसाईट, रेडियो प्रोग्राम, कम्युनिटी मीडिया, फ़िल्म, किताब, विज्ञापन, डाक्युमेंट्री आदि कैटेगरी यानी मीडिया के किसी भी माध्यम के जरिए समाज में लैंगिक संवेदनशीलता का प्रसार एवं लैंगिक समानता, लैंगिक न्याय की बात करते हैं.
